Trump's "Board of Peace" is a Board of Genocide Supporters

Trump recently invited Marcos to join his so-called “Board of Peace” to oversee the neo-colonial reconstruction of Gaza. This "Board of Peace" is nothing but an absurd fascist dictatorship on an international scale, where Trump is dubbed "Chairman for life" and has granted himself sole decision making power. Any self-respecting and sane world leader would flatly decline the invitation as it is a public admission of support for the US-backed Zionist genocide of Palestinians.

Given the deep economic crisis in the Philippines, it is foolish for Marcos to even consider forking over the steep $1 billion membership fee to become a permanent member, which would be drawn from Filipino taxpayer funds. Even Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez' statement that the fee could be potentially paid with "human resources" is a huge insult to the Filipino people. By considering the invite, Marcos is showing how pathetic and desperate he is to suck up to his puppet master Trump. It does not take a genius to deduce that $1 billion worth of Filipino human resources would be better spent on developing a self-reliant economy and domestic industries in the Philippines.

Palestinians have the right to self-determination and only they can decide the future of their homeland. It is not up to some sham "Board of Peace."
