This year we celebrate the 40th year anniversary of EDSA People Power, the movement that ousted the Marcos Sr. dictatorship after years of unchecked crimes, human rights violations, and corruption.

Millions came together to demand justice and accountability from his crooked regime and we, as freedom loving Filipinos, must continue this legacy today.

On Bonifacio Day, Filipinos all over the world took to the streets to demand that all those implicated in stealing from the Filipino people be held accountable for their crimes.

In the United States, the clamor for justice and accountability were echoed by Malaya Movement chapters and other progressive Filipino organizations, inspired by Bonifacio’s revolutionary legacy of fighting for genuine, systemic change.

This year marks the 39th Anniversary of the People Power Uprising or EDSA I when millions took to the streets to oust the Marcos Sr. regime after years of fascist violence, plunder, and corruption. It is critical that we recognize and uplift this pivotal moment in our history in the face of blatant revisionism and erasure by the current Marcos Jr. regime.

We condemn unscrupulous politicians’ fresh attempts to open up the Philippine constitution through mass deception and capitalizing on the chronic suffering of the Filipino people, otherwise constituents they claim to serve.
